Recycled yarns that don’t compromise on feel
Materials · March 2026

Recycled polyester begins its life as post-consumer PET: bottles are collected, sorted, cleaned, shredded into flakes, melted and reprocessed into textile-grade filament.
The result is a yarn that behaves like virgin polyester on the knitting and weaving floor — the same drape, the same colour take-up, the same durability — while using up to 20 times less water and around 75 percent less carbon.
For headwear specifically, rPET twills hold structure beautifully in a six-panel crown, and recycled nylon gives lightweight water resistance for outdoor programs.
